A teenage boy killed in an accident in the Highlands has been named.
Danny McBean, 16, was a passenger in a car which crashed on the A862 at Lentran near Inverness at around 11pm on Friday.
He was from the Inverness area.
Police said only one vehicle was involved.
Three other people travelling in the car were taken to Raigmore Hospital with minor injuries.
The road was closed for eight hours to allow accident investigators to examine the scene.
Northern Constabulary has appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
