The Cowal Highland Gathering is set to kick-off in Argyll on Thursday.
The event, which dates back to 1894, will feature up to 700 highland dancers and 3000 pipers.
Other attractions will include tossing the caber, hammer throw and shot put.
Local food and drink will also be featured.
On Saturday, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers will be the main event along with a series of ceilidh bands.
The festivities will be rounded off with a fireworks display.
