Robert Gordon University and Dundee College will sign an agreement on Tuesday to forge closer links.
The signing ceremony will take place at Robert Gordon University (RGU) and will confirm both institutions' formal commitment to providing greater opportunities for students in Tayside.
The Memorandum of Understanding means that Dundee College students on a range of HND programmes will be able to move straight into their third year of some RGU degree programmes.
Professor Mike Pittilo, Principal of RGU said, "I'm delighted that we are able to collaborate with Dundee College on an initiative that will benefit both institutions as well as prospective students in the Tayside region.
"RGU is very keen to widen participation and we believe that this link will be an effective way of achieving this. For example, some students who hadn't previously considered a university degree will realise that they have the potential to further raise their aspirations and decide to continue their studies at RGU. That is good for students and good for the University."
Dundee College Principal Christina Potter added: "Both the college and the university continue to build on previous agreements of this sort - ensuring students have the widest range of opportunities.
"For many students, studying for an HNC or HND at college is an attractive way to enter higher education - they can then transfer to a degree programme and build on their initial studies. The close link between Dundee College and RGU is very welcome and means that students have a wide choice of progression routes and excellent support in developing their qualifications and careers."
