Skaters in the capital are preparing to take part in Scotland’s first ever roller skate marathon.
The inaugural Great Scottish Skate will bring skating enthusiasts from across the country to Edinburgh on Saturday.
The event, taking place at the Royal Highland Centre at Ingliston is also marking the 190th anniversary of Deaf Connections.
The charity aims to raise more than £10,000 from the derby.
There are three different distances for participants to choose from: marathon, half-marathon, and single-track.
However, the weather might not be ideal. Forecasts suggest there will be heavy showers over the Ingliston venue with only sporadic spots of sunshine.
