Over 10,000 tickets have been sold for festival shows at the refurbished Assembly Rooms.
The venue reopens later this month after a £9m restoration programme which took 18 months.
The team behind The Stand Comedy Clubs are putting on four theatres and The Original Famous Spiegel Terrace during August.
They are expecting to sell up to 130,000 tickets for a programme of theatre, comedy and live music. The comedy line-up will include Fringe veteran Stewart Lee.
For theatre lovers, the National Theatre of Scotland will be bringing their new play, Appointment with the Wicker Man, to George Street.
The Assembly Rooms first opened in January 1787. The restoration work aimed to return the A-listed building to its former glory while adding modern technology to allow it to host events.
