A man brandished a knife at a 15-year-old boy in Arbroath.
The incident happened at around 4.20pm on Monday at Chalmers Street in the town.
The man is described as around 40-years-old, 6ft tall and of stocky build.
He was wearing a long black anorak, navy blue tracksuit bottoms and white scruffy training shoes.
The man was carrying a white supermarket shopping bag and appeared drunk.
