Two young boys have been charged with sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in a playground.
The youngsters, aged ten and 11, are alleged to have attacked the girl at playtime at a school in Aberdeen.
Grampian Police confirmed they were investigating an incident at the school.
A spokesman said: "Grampian Police can confirm that a ten and 11-year-old boy have been charged in connection with an incident on Monday, June 25, 2012.
“A report will be sent to the relevant authority in due course."
An Aberdeen City Council spokesman said it was assisting the police with the investigation.
