Police in Balfron are appealing for information after a number of thefts in the area.
A car was stolen and there were two thefts from vans between Monday June 25 and Tuesday June 26.
The first incident occurred in George Terrace, Balfron, where tools worth a three-figure sum were stolen from a van between 10.30am on Monday and 11am on Tuesday.
Tools worth a four-figure sum were also stolen from a van in Cattermills, Croftamie, between 7.30pm on Monday and 7.35am on Tuesday.
A third incident occurred between 11pm on Monday and 10.30am on Tuesday where a green Volkswagen Bora car was stolen from outside a house in a private estate near Old Mugdock Road, Mugdock.
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: "We strongly advise that vans and cars are properly locked and secured with keys removed when the vehicle is left unattended.
"Vehicle owners should remove valuable property from the vehicles.
"Keep it locked and keep it secure.
"It is also good practice to mark your property which can be done with a UV pen or details engraved onto the item.
"Usually the postcode and house number is sufficient to tie the item down to individual owners.
"Your local community officer can assist with this crime prevention and property marking."
