Airport operator BAA says that while number of air travellers using major UK airports declined to its lowest level for nine months in June, Edinburgh Airport has seen a slight increase.
There was a rise of 1.4% in the number of travellers from the airport during the month, the third month it has seen an increase.
In contrast its other airports around the UK have seen a decrease in passenger numbers, with an overall reduction of 5.9% on the same period last year.
Glasgow dropped by 10.9% and Aberdeen by 9.8%. In comparison, Heathrow had a fall of 3.1% and Stanstead was down 11.5%
BAA is embroiled in a battle against the Competition Commission's decision to make it sell three of its airports.
The Commission ruled earlier this year that BAA's ownership of seven UK airports was anti-competitive and ordered the firm to sell Gatwick and Stansted airports as well as either Glasgow or Edinburgh.
