A Scots teenager drowned in a swimming pool while on holiday in Ibiza.
Owen Ford’s body was found at a hotel in Cala de Bou on the island at around 6.30am on Sunday.
The Civil Guard police force confirmed that a post-mortem examination found that Mr Ford’s death was caused by drowning.
The 19-year-old from Perth was not staying at the hotel near the resort of San Antonio on the island’s west coast.
He did not have any identification on him when he was found dead and was later identified by a friend who was on holiday with him. He had reported him missing to the police on Monday.
Mr Ford had been staying with friends at another hotel nearby, having arrived on holiday on Saturday.
Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s death.
