An 80-year-old motorist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision in heavy rain.
The man was travelling on the A6112 between Preston and Duns, in the Borders, when the accident happened at around 2.15pm on Friday.
He was taken to Borders General Hospital in Melrose with internal injuries.
Only one vehicle was involved and no-one else was injured in the collision.
Lothian & Borders Police are appealing for witnesses.
