A man who was reported missing after he failed to return home from work has been traced safe and well.
Northern Constabulary said David Headley, 46, from the Newbridge area of Edinburgh, was found in the Wester Ross area.
Mr Headley's family became concerned after he failed to return home on Wednesday evening.
He was last seen at First Choice Property Management in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire, where he works, at about 7.40pm.
Police believed he may have travelled to the Tongue area of Sutherland, on the far north coast, and launched a nationwide search.
A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said information through social media sites including Twitter and Facebook had helped track Mr Headley down.
