A man has died in a hit-and-run crash on his way home from a nightclub.
The 30-year-old was treated by paramedics after the incident but died soon after.
The vehicle failed to stop after hitting the man.
It happened in Milton Douglas Road, Clydebank, at around 3.45am on Saturday.
Strathclyde Police said the man had been in a nightclub on Glasgow's Great Western Road and was heading home with a friend when he was struck by the dark-coloured vehicle.
Detective inspector Douglas Wilson said: "It is vital that we trace the driver of the vehicle and I would urge him or her to come forward in order that we can clarify exactly what happened.
"I would appeal to anyone who saw the two men and witnessed this incident to get in touch."
