As news emerged that Martha Payne had been banned from taking photographs of her meals by officials at Argyll and Bute Council the public backlash was swift.
Twitter went into overdrive as people flooded to the social media forum to vent their anger.
The name of Martha's website, Never Seconds, became the top-trending hashtag #neverseconds in the UK
Among those making their views clear were celebrity chef Jamie Oliver, a long-term backer of Martha's blog and also well known food critic Jay Rayner.
Scotland's education secretary Mike Russell was also among the critics using Twitter to make his views clear.
