Police in Orkney have confirmed the identity of the body found on the island of Sanday as that of Robert Rose.
Mr Rose had been missing from the island since June 6, sparking a wide-scale police search.
On Tuesday, an Orkney man appeared in private at Inverness Sheriff Court accused of murdering Mr Rose on Sanday.
John Black Campbell, 59, also of Sanday, appeared on petition on a charge of murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He made no plea or declaration.
Stephen Crummack, 50, of Sanday, appeared in private on a charge of attempting to defeat the ends of justice. He also made no plea or declaration.
Both men were committed for trial and remanded in custody.
