Two men have been arrested in connection with the deaths of a father and two children following a fire at their home.
The blaze almost a year ago led to the deaths of Thomas Sharkey Snr, 55, his son Thomas Jnr, 21, and daughter Bridget, eight.
Their mother, Angela Sharkey, then 46, was injured in the fire at the family's flat in Scott Court, Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, on July 24, 2011.
Strathclyde Police detained the two men, aged 36 and 49, on Wednesday morning and they were formally arrested on Wednesday night.
A force spokesman said: "Officers from Strathclyde Police's major investigation team have today, Wednesday June 6, 2012, arrested two men, aged 36 and 49, in connection with the deaths of Thomas Sharkey Snr, Thomas Sharkey Jnr, Bridget Sharkey and the alleged attempted murder of Angela Sharkey.
"The men have also been arrested in connection with further allegations of conspiracy to commit murder and numerous acts of alleged wilful fire-raising and alleged violence in the Helensburgh area between 2008 and 2011."
Mr Sharkey Jnr was found dead at the scene while Bridget died on the way to Royal Alexandra hospital in Paisley, Renfrewshire.
Six days later Mr Sharkey Snr died in Glasgow Royal Infirmary of pneumonia caused by breathing in smoke.
The two men remain in police custody and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal. They are due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
