Woman's death at home in Aberdeen being treated as unexplained

The death of a woman whose body was found at her Aberdeen home is being treated as unexplained by police.

Rosemary Edwards, 38, was discovered at her home on Oscar Road in the city’s Torry area on May 25.

Police are appealing for anyone who had dealings with Ms Edwards in the weeks leading up to her death to contact them.

They have also set up a mobile police office near to the property where she was found.

A Grampian Police spokesman said: "Grampian Police can confirm they are investigating the circumstances relating to the death of a woman at Oscar Road, Aberdeen.

"Rosemary Edwards, aged 38, was found at her home by police on 25 May 2012. A post-mortem examination will take place and at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.

“A mobile police office has been deployed near the house and officers are working to piece together Rosemary's last movements.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who may have had any contact with Rosemary over recent weeks and we'd urge them to get in touch as soon as possible.

"I would also like to thank local residents for their patience while the investigation is ongoing."
