Passengers were evacuated after a double decker bus caught fire closing a main route into Edinburgh.
The fire service were called to the bus blaze at around 9.45am on Wednesday.
When they arrived the vehicle was "well alight" and firefighters used two pumps to put out the flames.
The driver had managed to get all the passengers off the number 35 Lothian Bus and no one was injured.
Calder Road closed westbound for about an hour and a half as diesel and anti-freeze had spilt across the road.
The highways agency were called to remove the liquid from the road and make it safe for other users.
Bill Campbell, operations director said: "We can confirm that this morning a fire occurred on the westbound service 35 on Calder Road in Edinburgh.
"The driver ensured the safe and immediate evacuation of passengers from the double-decker bus as per training for these rare situations.
"Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and we will assist in conducting a full and thorough investigation into the cause of the incident."
Lothian Buses services 3, 21, 25, 34 and 35 were diverted but back to normal by 11.30am.
