The former Conservative MSP and leader of Glasgow District Council John Young has died.
Mr Young served in the first intake of politicians to the Scottish Parliament in 1999, retiring in 2003.
Conservative leader Annabel Goldie paid tribute to him saying he was a prominent voice in Scottish Politics and would be sorely missed.
