VANCOUVER (Reuters) - China's Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo are getting ready to launch a dumpling-powered assault for a pairs gold medal at the Vancouver Olympics.

The husband-and-wife team, who have come out of retirement to make a fourth stab at winning an elusive Olympic title, hope their tried and tested diet will propel them to the top of the podium.

"On the first day of competition (on Sunday) being Chinese New Year ... perhaps the team will prepare some dumplings. I remember in Salt Lake City we made dumplings before the competition," said Xue.

But since the duo only won a bronze at the 2002 Games, they might want to rethink their dietary requirements.
