Police investigation launched after body of man found on beach

The body of a man has been found on a beach in Aberdeen.

Police confirmed the body was discovered around 10.15am on Monday, October 7 at Aberdeen beach with formal identification still to take place.

Officers said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.15am on Monday, October 7, 2024, the body of a man was discovered on Aberdeen Beach.

“Formal identification is yet to take place and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
