Teens charged over school fire and sports centre vandalism

Two 14-year-olds and a 13-year-old charged over numerous incidents in Dundee.

Three teenagers have been charged in connection with numerous incidents of vandalism – including a fire at a school in Dundee.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with starting a fire at Rainbow House, on Drumlanrig Drive, at around 9.50pm on Thursday, January 19.

Police also said that a 13-year-old boy had been charged with vandalism at Fairfield Sport and Leisure Club, on Drumgeith Road, at around 12.35am on Monday, January 23.

Following these incidents, two 14-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy have been charged with breaking-in and starting a fire at Braeview Academy, Berwick Drive, at around 2am on Monday, January 23.

The same teens were charged with allegedly breaking into Craigie High School, Garnet Terrace, at around 3am on the same morning.

Police said reports would be submitted to the Scottish Children’s Reporters Administration.
