A 35-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the alleged murder of a supermarket worker in Aberdeen.
Robert Alexander McCulloch appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court accused of allegedly murdering a Sainsbury's employee during a night shift.
Police were called to the Berryden branch of the supermarket at 3.30am on Thursday. The 28-year-old alleged victim, who has been named as Roman Igorevic Romasov, originally from Lithuania but now of Aberdeen, was pronounced dead at the scene.
McCulloch appeared in private charged with murder. He made no plea or declaration, was committed for further examination and was remanded in custody.
