A former teacher has split up with the pupil he quit his job for after a seven-year relationship.
John forrester met 16-year-old schoolgirl Claire Bennett when he worked as head of music at Kincorth Academy in Aberdeen.
He had recently been reinstated after an investigation into an alleged affair with another pupil.
The teacher, who was 44 at the time, left his wife Alison, their two children, and his job, to set up home with his teenage girlfriend in 2005.
The pair married 18 months ago and now have two children.
Their relationship sparked outrage in the local community and became the subject of a police investigation.
Struck off
Mr Forrester was initially charged but the case was later dropped before it reached court. He was then struck off by the General Teaching Council following an investigation.
Mrs Bennett confirmed on Monday that the relationship has broken down and her husband has moved out of the family home.
The 24-year-old said they were "not on good terms".
Mr Forrester recently became secretary of the local parent-teacher council at Auchenblae Primary School in Aberdeenshire after fellow parents voted him into the role.
Mr Forrester met his future wife shortly after he was investigated for an alleged affair with a pupil.
He was rumoured to have started a relationship with 17-year-old Carrie-Ann Anderson, while married.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing and allowed to return to his post under supervision.
