Four men have been arrested in Aberdeen over violent clashes between fans before an SPL match.

The men, aged 23, 28, 42, and 26 were arrested during raids on properties in the city at around 6am on Friday morning.

The joint operation by Grampian Police and Strathclyde Police follows large-scale disturbances between fans outside Ibrox underground station in Glasgow on January 21.

The violence came before the Aberdeen and Rangers match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

It is understood that the men have been released from custody and are due to appear at court in the near future.

Eight men, six in Aberdeen and two in Fife, were arrested last month over the same incident.
