New views of how city gardens transformation will look

Video images have been released showing how the heart of Aberdeen could be changed by the £140m City Gardens Project.

The moving presentation gives a 3D view of what Union Terrace Gardens would look like if plans for its transformation are realised.

The footage shows the winning Granite Web design, chosen by a panel of experts as the top entry in an international design competition.

The referendum into the controversial plans will be held within Aberdeen later this month.

The Union Terrace Gardens plans are expected to create 6500 north-east jobs and bring an extra £123m into the economy every year.

Campaign group Friends of Union Terrace Gardens has been formed in protest to the plans.
