Thieves have stolen around 100 tyres from an industrial estate in Moray.
It is thought that a lorry may have been used to transport the tyres, worth around £7000, in Elgin.
They were taken from BS Tyres at Chanonry Industrial Estate sometime between 5pm on Thursday and 8am the next day.
Tyres of a variety of makes and sizes, mostly for cars, were taken along with a scrambler motorbike.
Constable Mike Mulloy said: "The tyres were removed despite large boulders that were placed across the entrance of the premises.
"Whoever is responsible has gone to considerable effort to remove them and then carry off the tyres. It is believed that it would have required the use of a large vehicle, possibly a lorry.
"I am keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area during these times or who has been offered cheap tyres for sale."
Anyone with information is asked to call Grampian Police on 0845 6005700 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
