Peterhead manager Jim McInally has bolstered his squad during a busy period with the signing of Dundee United centre-back Ross Smith on a one-month emergency loan deal.
The 19-year old centre-back is a product of the Arabs' youth setup, having been with the club since he was 14, and made four first-team appearances last season.
He has captained the United U19 team, and been capped by Scotland at all levels up to U19.
The Glasgow-born defender will be available for Saturday's home match against Stranraer.
Meanwhile, former Blue Toon player Barry Sellars has signed for Forfar for the third time in his career – after the midfielder was released from his Peterhead contract last month.
Peterhead's Aberdeenshire Shield match against Cove Rangers was subject to a last-minute call-off Wednesday night, after referee Caryl Potten deemed the pitch unsafe for play.
Both penalty areas were frozen solid and the decision to postpone the match was taken just five minutes before kick-off.
The sides are scheduled to meet again at Allan Park on Tuesday, February 21.
