Plans for a £150m offshore wind farm near Aberdeen have been given the go ahead.
The Crown Estate has agreed proposals for 11 turbines in the sea off the coast of the city.
A testing centre for offshore wind farms will be set up and it is hoped the city will become a centre of excellence in the new technology.
Developers Aberdeen Offshore Wind will now apply to the Scottish Government for planning permission for the site.
