A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital after a collision with a lorry in Aberdeenshire.
Emergency services were called to the B979 Netherley road following the crash, one mile from Stonehaven.
The incident happened around 8am on Wednesday and the road has been closed while the area is cleared.
A Grampian Police spokesman said the biker was "critically ill" and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by ambulance under police escort.
He added: “The road is currently closed and local diversions are being put in place. Officers are diverting traffic in the meantime.”
