Two people have been arrested after a "disturbance" left a 45-year-old man in hospital.
Police and paramedics were called to an incident in Duncan Street in Banff at 12.20am on Saturday and found a injured man at the scene.
The 45-year-old was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.
Grampian Police confirmed that two people had been arrested in connection with the incident.
One is a 30-year-old man and the other a 23-year-old woman.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
