A 41-year-old man has died in a collision between two cars in Orkney.
Northern Constabulary said the crash happened on the A986 at Harray, ten miles west of Kirkwall on the Orkney mainland, at about 4.20pm on Friday.
The road has been closed to all traffic while accident investigators assess the scene.
Local diversions are in place.
Northern Constabulary said the deceased would not be named until his family had been informed.
