A pensioner has been attacked and robbed in his own home in Aberdeenshire.
The 77-year-old man sustained “minor injuries” in the assault which occurred on Thursday in the Gadle Braes area of Peterhead.
Items of jewellery worth a “low four-figure” sum were also taken during the robbery which happened in the morning.
Detective Constable Scott Massie said: "I would urge anybody who may have knowledge of this cowardly attack on a particularly vulnerable member of the community to contact Grampian Police.”
