Woman treated in hospital after being rescued from late-night house fire

A woman has been taken to hospital after being rescued from a house fire in Dingwall.

The 29-year-old was treated for smoke inhalation after a blaze at an address in the town’s Cluny Road.

Firefighters were called to the incident at 9pm on Monday to find the house well alight.

Crews rescued the female who was the only person in the building at the time.

She was taken to a hospital where she received treatment for smoke inhalation before being released a short time later.

A joint investigation will be carried out by police and fire services into the cause of the fire which extensively damaged the mid terraced property.
