Woman, 20, charged after collision involving Grampian Police car

Collision: The police car collided with a green Volkswagen Beetle on Thursday morning.

A woman has been charged following a two-car crash involving a police car.

The Grampian Police vehicle was responding to an emergency when it collided with a green Volkswagen Beetle at around 8.45am on Thursday.

The incident happened at the junction of King Street and University Road in Aberdeen.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident.

A Grampian Police spokesman appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

He said: “A 20-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the collision and will be reported to the procurator fiscal in due course.

“Anyone with information regarding this incident should contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700.”
