A 72-year-old man who died after his car careered into a lamp post at a Highland recycling centre has been named.
James Scobie's Fiat car hit the lamp post at the recycling centre in Dingwall at around 11.20am on Wednesday.
Paramedics found him unconscious at the scene.
Mr Scobie, from Beauly, was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he died.
Northern Constabulary have carried out an investigation of the scene and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
