Witnesses sought after 'unprovoked' attack on man outside library

Witnesses are being sought after an "unprovoked" assault outside a Highlands library.

Police said a man was walking on Invergordon High Street shortly before 1pm on Friday when a vehicle stopped beside him.

Another man got out and launched an assault on the man outside the town's library.

A spokesman for Alness Police said the attack was unprovoked and appealed for anyone with information to come forward to assist investigating officers.

Anyone with information regarding this crime should contact police on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
