Police are continuing to search for a man who has gone missing in the Highlands.
On December 1, 2010, John Ferris was reported missing from the Gosport area by his family.
The 44-year-old had been holidaying alone in the North of Scotland and enquiries were carried out throughout the Highlands in an effort to trace him.
His blue Ford Fiesta car was found parked and secure in Mallaig on December 7.
Enquiries in the area of Mallaig have discovered that he boarded a local Ferry with the intention of walking from Tarbet, Loch Nevis to Bracara, Loch Morar and that he was last seen on November 19 at Tarbet.
He is described as a white male, 5'8" tall of medium build, with short mousey blond hair and clean shaven.
Police have asked that if any member of the public has any information regarding Mr Ferris’ movements that they contact Mallaig Police Station on 01687 462177.
