Driver seriously injured after two-car collision in Inverness

A driver was taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries in a two-car crash in Inverness.

Northern Constabulary were called to the collision at around 10.50 pm on Wednesday at the crossroads junction of Bridge Street, Castle Road, Bank Street and the Ness Bridge in Inverness.

The collision involved a silver Fiat Punto car and a black Skoda Fabia car.

As a result of the collision, the driver of the Fiat Punto, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

The occupants of the Skoda Fabia were uninjured.

The road was closed while inquiries were carried out by officers from Northern Constabulary's Road Policing Unit.
