A woman has been taken to hospital with head injuries following a crash on the A9 in the Highlands.
No other vehicle was involved in the collision, which happened between Nigg roundabout and the Fearn junction just before 9am on Sunday.
Northern Constabulary said the woman had been sent to hospital for treatment.
Traffic has been diverted and the road is expected to be closed for several hours.
Earlier in the day police warned motorists that roads in the Highlands were likely to be slippery following rain and freezing conditions overnight.
