A prisoner who escaped from a Highland court through a window has been found by police.
Michael Davidson disappeared following a meeting with his solicitor at Tain Sheriff Court last month.
Police had advised the public that Davidson, from Invergordon, was not regarded as dangerous but should not be approached.
He faces charges including assault, attempting to defeat the ends of justice and careless driving.
A Northern Constabulary spokesman said: “At 4.30am on October 10, Police traced and apprehended a 27-year-old remand prisoner who had escaped from Tain Sheriff Court on 25 September, at a house in Alness.
“The man has been detained in custody. A report has been made to the procurator fiscal.”
An investigation has been launched by court security firm G4S into how he managed to escape.
