A pedestrian has died after being struck by a car while walking on a main road in Oban.
Police said the man died at the scene of the collision near the Pennyfuir Cemetery at about 4.50am on Saturday.
The 54-year-old driver of the Vauxhall Vectra car was uninjured but said to be "very shocked".
Strathclyde Police have appealed for witnesses to contact PC Ronnie Stevenson at the Divisional Road Policing Unit on 01631 510500.
They have also asked anyone who saw the man wandering around before the incident to get in touch.
