Thousands of music fans are heading to the Highland capital this weekend for a series of concerts to round off the summer.
JLS, Runrig and Status Quo are among the highlights of the four-night event in Inverness's Northern Meeting Park.
Status Quo will be performing on Friday on the back of a sell-out gig in Shetland.
Local businessman Malcolm Younger arranged for the veteran rockers to play the Clickimin Centre in Lerwick to raise funds for the Callum Younger Reach Fund, which supports teenagers in the islands.
Chart-toppers JLS kick off the Summer in the City concerts on Thursday, while on Saturday Runrig will play to a sell-out crowd.
The final performance on Sunday will see the boogey-woogey rhythms of Jools Holland and his Orchestra bring the curtain down on the four-night extravaganza.
