Appeal for information after Taiwanese woman reported missing

Missing: Concern is growing for Shih Hui WU who has not been seen since August 9.

A 24-year-old Taiwanese who was last seen on the Isle Of Skye has been reported missing.

Shih-Hui WU was reported missing by the her family through the Taipei representative office in Edinburgh.

Miss Wu has been travelling in the UK since August 2 and the last contact she had was with her family was through social networking site Facebook on August 8 when she was staying in Portree, Isle Of Skye.

She was last seen on the morning of August 9 when she left her hostel accommodation.

A spokesman for Northern Constabulary said: “Her travel arrangements are not known. Her family are becoming increasingly worried. She has fluent English and was travelling alone.”
