The A9 has reopened after the second multi-vehicle collision in two days.

Six cars crashed between the Allangrange and Munlochy junctions at around 8.50am on Tuesday.

The A9 was shut for more than an hour while the emergency services attended the Black Isle crash.

The road was closed after a six-vehicle collision two miles north of the Munlochy junction on Monday morning.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "The A9 at the Munlochy junction is now fully open following an earlier collision involving 6 vehicles. No-one was seriously injured.

"Drivers are thanked for their patience during the delays and reminded to drive to the conditions of the road at all times."
