A woman is trapped in her car following a three-vehicle crash on a rural road near Inverness.

The incident took place on the B9161 between the Munlochy junction of the A9 and Bogallan Nurseries in the Black Isle.

Northern Constabulary were called to the scene at around 8.30am on Friday.

A woman is currently trapped and the road has been closed.

Fire crews and ambulance were also on the scene.

The road was expected to remain closed for some time and diversions are being put in place.
