Man dies after being knocked down as police seek witnesses

A man has died in hospital after being hit by a car on a road in Fife.

The 36-year-old was struck on the A921, near Inverkeithing, on Monday night.

The crash, which involved a Suzuki Celerio, happened around 10.20pm, close to the roundabout junction with the B981 North Road.

The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where he died the following day.

The 63-year-old driver was uninjured.

Sergeant Alastair Purvis said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and I would urge anyone who may have information or dashcam footage who has not yet spoken to police to make contact.”
