From sushi to curry, noodles to dumplings, for those of us who cannot decide what our taste buds fancy, a new option will open in the city.
Pan-Asian restaurant Cosmo will launch their first all-you-can-eat outlet in Edinburgh in the space of former nightclub Mood at the Omni Centre.
The company have been granted a 15-year lease in the premises for their second restaurant in Scotland.
The new sit-in option will be in the ideal spot for Edinburgh Playhouse audiences pre-show dining and will join a range of popular eateries already in the Omni including the Filling Station, Slug & Lettuce and Frankie and Benny’s.
John Conroy, retail partner at Ryden and letting agent at Omni, said: “Omni is a great place for Cosmo to open their first restaurant in Edinburgh as it is ideally located near to Edinburgh Playhouse, Vue cinema, St James Centre and Waverley Rail Station. The addition of Cosmo to Omni reinforces the centre’s position as a top food destination in Edinburgh.”
Cosmo's acquisition advisor, John Menzies, added: “We had been looking at opportunities in Edinburgh for some time, and the size and location of the new restaurant makes it the ideal choice for Cosmo. The focus is now on sourcing further new restaurant openings in the other principal Scottish cities this year.”
Known for their interior design skills, the group have spent over £1.5m fitting out their new premises which is due to open on Wednesday, July 3.
The restaurant will serve cuisine from nine countries with dishes from China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Mongolia, Singapore, Vietnam and India featuring on the menu.
There will be a range of 120 dishes served at the 300-seater restaurant with live cooking stations scattered throughout the premises allowing you to watch your food being prepared.
The dessert list will feature classic dishes including profiteroles and double chocolate gateaux and something a little different with steamed creamy custard buns.
And it is not only all-you-can-eat, but all you drink, too, as unlimited soft drinks are available.
Prices vary depending on the sitting and which day you visit the restaurant.
