Fears are growing for a woman who went missing from her home in the early hours of Monday morning.

Aileen MacGillivray, 44, was last seen at her house in Deanswood Park in Livingston at 2am, but has not been in contact with family or friends since.

Police are asking for anyone who sees Mrs MacGillivray around Livingston or Fife to get in touch with them.

She is described as being 5ft tall, of heavy build with dark brown collar length hair. She was wearing wearing an olive green fleece, blue sports coat, navy jogging bottoms, black Ugg boots and glasses

A police spokesperson said: "We are growing concerned for Mrs MacGillivray’s welfare, especially given the freezing weather conditions overnight.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen her, or who knows where she is, to contact us a matter of urgency.

"Further, we would appeal to Aileen directly to get in touch with someone – be it the police, or her friends and family - to let us know you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information should contact Lothian and Borders Police on 0131 311 3131, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
