A group of pensioners have been dancing through the aisles of their local supermarket to persuade other OAPs to get active.
Staff and users of Midlothian Council’s Ageing Well project shocked customers at Tesco in Dalkeith on Wednesday as they performed a routine to Build Me Up Buttercup by The Foundations.
The aim was to highlight the importance of fitness for the over-50s. Around 30% of adults who are over 65 and living at home will fall at least once a year. For those over 80, half of them will fall.
Exercise has been shown to prevent falls as it increases leg strength and improves balance.
